What is Duplicate Content?
Duplicate content is when the same or very similar content exists in multiple places online. This could be on different pages within one website or across different websites.
It is created when content is copied partly or fully from another source without enough changes to make it unique.
For example, simply changing a few words or phrases but largely keeping the same text would still be duplicate content.
Duplicate content is different from plagiarized or scraped content that violates copyrights. Having some duplicate content does not directly lead to penalties from search engines like Google.
However, excessive duplicate content can indirectly hurt a website by diluting its ability to rank well in search engines.
