In SEO, DA and PA refer to two important metrics provided by Moz:

DA (Domain Authority)

Domain Authority is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. It ranges from 1 to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater ability to rank.

DA is calculated based on data from Moz's web index and takes into account link metrics like the total number of links, linking root domains, and the quality of those links. Essentially, it estimates a domain's ability to rank based primarily on its link profile.

Websites with a higher DA score tend to rank better for their target keywords. A DA of 40 or above is generally considered good, while 60+ is excellent.

PA (Page Authority)

Page Authority is a metric that scores individual web pages on their ability to rank well, on a scale of 1 to 100.

Similar to DA, PA is determined by calculations involving the link metrics and authority of both the individual page as well as the domain/subdomains it is hosted on.

High PA pages tend to rank better for the specific keywords they target. Pages with very useful, shareable content that acquire many high-quality links pointing directly at them typically have higher PA scores.

While not perfect, DA and PA are widely used in the SEO industry as indicators of search engine ranking ability and strength. Improving a site's overall DA and key pages' PA is often part of an SEO professional's primary objectives.
