What is Link Reputation?

Link reputation refers to the value, relevance, and authority that a hyperlink holds and passes from one page to another.

A link is like a vote of confidence from one page to another. If an important, popular web page links to your page, it's like they are saying "This other page has quality information."

So links can help a page rank higher in search engines. The value or reputation of the links pointing to a page contributes to where it places in search results.

Pages with links from other reputable and relevant sites tend to rank higher than pages that don't have many quality links.
